Guilty By Intention

By Francis W. Porretto
Francis W. Porretto avatar

In lampooning a scrofulous, savagely racist suggestion about the introduction of "ebonics" into a California public school's curriculum, Paul at Wizbang has caused a leftist commentator to show his colors.

Paul's original comments on this development included the following:

Black kids are too stupid to learn english, we all know that. So why should we try to teach them? Let them stick to their own kind. If we teach them english then they'll be reading then the next thing you know they'll be taking our jobs and trying to move into our neighborhoods.

I say we keep them stupid. If not, how will I ever get anyone to pick my cotton?

Anyone who can't tell that this is sarcasm, and very well-focused sarcasm at that, should go back to school himself. But never underestimate the depths of vitriol to which a leftist will sink when he thinks he has a conservative in his sights:

I ask ALL decent members of the blogsphere to condemn this hate speech by Paul of Wizbang, disguised as some sort of sick satire. I especially beseech those decent conservatives I know to provide feedback on this post, and to demonstrate once and for all, that this type of speech is unwelcome as part of our political discourse!

Dear Paul:
I have always known that you were a stupid, insensitive racist clod, but today you have outdone yourself. You have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, what an ignorant ASS you are. Hiding behind the idea of SATIRE, does not help the situation or justify your hateful racist screed. Amos and Andy and Minstrel shoes were satire too Paul, and I find what you wrote to be the MOST DISGUSTING thing I have ever read on Wizbang, and with your record at Wizbang there is MUCH competition.

I hope that EVERY blogger of conscience condemns your actions today as the disgusting dribbling of a racist idiot, as they are.
I can not believe someone like Kevin even allowed you to post something so vile and hateful.

You are a disgusting coward who would not dare utter those words, satire or no, in the presence of black people, or for that matter, decent people of any race or creed.

So picking your cotton is out of the question, but god help you if you ever make the mistake of spouting your childish and racist ideology in public.

This person, whoever he is, is an idiot. Rather than reflect on the similarities of the argument for the incomprehensible illiteracy called "ebonics" and the arguments of decades past about the futility of trying to educate blacks, he attacks the man who dared to introduce such a "hateful" subject. But perhaps he's a racist himself. Being black, he'd be one of the "victimist" sort, but really, one collectivist perversion is quite as good as another.

Did "they" really say "it takes all kinds"? Really? And who are "they," anyway?

    Lefties ‘R’ Dumb.

  2. The funniest part is that the commenter does see the satire, but thinks Paul is so villanous that he actually believes in the satirical position. So much for giving the benefit of the doubt.

  3. Why do some of you folks feel a need to put words in people’s mouths. It is not an issue of of what I think of Paul. I think he is a disgusting example of the WORST in conservative hacks, but that is not the issue. The issue was the Pick my Cotton line. I found that offensive. How that makes me an idiot, I dont know. But as I have stated, I also feel that Ebonics is a stupid idea. For someone who has never walked a mile in my Nike’s (to quote Bill Cosby), you have no idea why a Black person would find his comments and not the principle behind them offensive. I have never read your blog before today, but I find is dissapointing for someone who is apparently advocating open mindedness, not to be open minded enough to understand why a 45 year old black man who lived through the civil rights struggle, is offended by such “satire.”

  4. My dear fellow, “a 45 year old black man who lived through the civil rights struggle,” but who doesn’t realize that the insult in these matters is emanating from the people who claim that your children have to be taught in “ebonics,” or as it was once known, “jive,” comes close to being my definition of an idiot. You can have either that label or “racist black asshole looking for a reason to take offense at a white conservative.” Take your pick.

And by the way, just for your future reference, the civil rights struggle was over by the time you were four years old, so your deficiencies extend to general mendacity as well. In shorter terms: You’re not only an idiot, you’re a lying idiot.

  5. I see you are one of those reasonable conservatives huh. I gues that explains the “popularity,” Yeah that was satire my Dear Fellow, of your page. One note, you should really stop focussing so much on Ebonics and focus more on your own education. I was born in 1960. Martin Luther King was killed in 1968, and I think he would have been surprised that the struggle he led, ended four years earlier. Oh yeah, I forgot, people like you speciallize in revisionist history right. I see why you like Paul so much, you are cut from the same idiotic cloth. I think I will take my leave now. I dont believe in trolling people’s blogs. I came here looking to reason, not to get into a pissing contest. I see Reason is the furthest thing from your mind, as is no doubt history, READING, since you seem to have MISSED AGAIN, my comments that I am oppossed to Ebonics, and perhaps math, since you cant seem to figure out that I was born in 1960, and to some, including myself, the civil rights struggle continues even today, especially against narrow minded bigots who hide their racism behind snarky wit, or what they think passes for such.

  6. "I came here looking to reason, not to get into a pissing contest.”

I think I’ll leave that up to the larger readership. As for my education, at least I can spell.

  7. LOL, yet more proof that victicrats have no sense of humor…

BTW: nice job assuming what “a black person”—as if you’re King of All Blacks or something—would think of such obvious sarcasm, Davey.  I’m not dripping with rage right now, so I guess my Certificate of Blackness should be revoked… LOL

  8. You guys are hilarious. Between the fat jokes on my Blog, the Right Wingers calling me a Nigger and suggesting that my children should be picking cotton, Frankie claiming the civil rights struggle was over in 64, and another Brother or Sister who wants so desperately to be accepted by the Right Wing circle that they will sell their very soul for a couple of links (And I do mean a couple based on what I see on that excuse for a blog you have), and a pat on the head by morons who use Cotton Picker memes to make a political point… do you guys have anything of substance to say, or is is just lets all get together and see how many ways we can insult the Liberal. Believe me BOYS, and I do mean boys. I just found out today that I was quoted in an article in one of the most important papers in Latin America. The quote was on Business, not this pathetic bullshit, something that happens quite often and usually leads to lots and lots of MONEY, somthing I am not making wasting my time with you children.

I am making money hand over foot, living the good life, and laughing at fools. And No Francis, I cant spell worth a shit, but then that is why I pay my Secretary to proofread anything that matters, after running it through a word processor. Let me place the emphasis on ANYTHING THAT MATTERS, your little blog with its 300 hits a day hardly qualifies as such.

So if you can get your head out of Paul’s ass long enough to respond, don’t worry about it. Now that I know who and what you are, I doubt I will wast the time for further comment. Oh and a piece of advice… I have known many little fish like you to kiss Paul’s ass in a mad attempt to get linkage and attention. It rarely works. I have gotten over 1000 Hits today from Wizbang, how many have you gotten?

And I have some good books on the Civil Rights Struggle, a couple written by people I had the pleasure of meeting. People who have more class in the tiny hairs growing in the small of their back, than you assholes have in your whole body.

Now please, be so kind as to go back to whatever other wanking you were doing before Paul gave you a chance to kiss his ass, you will feel much better about it, and yourself.

  9. Isn’t it a bit unbecoming of a leftist to explode into a rant about how much money they make?

Posted by b-psycho  on  07/20/2005  at  08:03 PM
  10. B-psycho. My guess is that DSA thinks, like most establishmentarians (and that now includes counter-culturists) that monetary success impresses Republicans with whom he’s on speaking terms. Since the Left equates Republicans with conservatives, he figured that might buy him something here. It’s also possible that his pride was so hurt that he hoped his vanity would regain him some respect.

If he’s as dishonest as our Curmudgeon’s evidence paints him to be, there’s a good chance that he’s used this sad and obvious chip on his shoulder to aid him in his professional success at least as much as it’s propelled his spleen venting here. Hence, I doubt anyone can convince him of its foolishness. Nor can he see that a true liberal could care less about what the fools of the world think of him than that the rest of the world treats him based on what he has to offer.

He is either convinced or wishes to convince the few who are still listening to the Left that we on the Right cannot oppose the Left out of a decent set of principles. That we must only be swayed by money, power, racism, etc. Hence, he tells us how rich in money he is while revealing how poor in character he’s let himself become.

I’d also guess, even though it hasn’t been mentioned at all, that he believes the world is overpopulated. My accuracy there depends a good deal on whether he’s a knowing part of the evil or merely another of its useful tools.
